Behind Closed Doors WordPress Plugin

WordpressWhen sites are in development, we often want to keep them out of the public eye and away from search engines. In conflict with that idea, we also want to give our clients access to the site as it’s updated. The Behind Closed Doors WordPress plugin was created to help with this basic necessity of website development.

Behind Closed Doors allows a site admin to designate a page as a “front door”. All guests to the site while the plugin is active will be redirected to the front door. The plugin will also optionally add a login form to the site’s front door. There’s no need to know how to code your own login form. If a user is logged in, they will have access to the site as normal.

The plugin works with your existing theme, so your front door will match the look and feel of your site. You can bypass the generic WordPress login page, and circulate an easy URL to your client, such as http://clientsite.com/login/ instead of http://clientsite.com/wp-login.php. And if you need more control over your front door, you can create your own template in your WordPress theme.

Behind Closed Doors was designed to be effective and simple to use.
